LORD OF THE SWAMP: THE SEARCH FOR GOLD

In 1977, thirteen-year-old Ryan gets to live on a houseboat with his cousin Kyle for the entire summer out in the middle of the Atchafalaya Basin. The adventures he's about to undertake will be far better than anything he could conjure up in one of his stones. Once he learns that his older cousin and his cousin's friends are searching for a long-lost sunken pirate treasure in a hidden Louisiana lagoon, the adventure draws him in deeper with no backing out. When you're in the midst of the largest swamp in the country with alligator populations in the millions, getting close to any kind of treasure leads to one mind-boggling challenge after another. However, when Kyle's friend Dennis seems to have mystical powers over alligators, then nothing seems impossible. Other than man-eating gators, this treasure-hunting crew has another serious concern in the form of a frightening creature that seems to be stalking Kyan and his friends. According to folklore, this could be the wolf-life creature known as the Rougarou, who sneaks around the lagoon at night, silently watching.
